Frames taking Shape
Soldered the first three spacers onto the frames last night, although the back one might have to move as I need a mounting point for the rear pony ....
Guess what I've got to assemble next then? yep, the rear pony. Same applies to the motion bracket, I need to at least fold up the main etch so that I can determine where the fixing screw for that will be, then put a frame spacer in the right place.
This make it up as you go along design and build is not as easy as you think
Cylinders need a bit more angle too ......
UPDATE:
rear mounting fabricated up from some 5mm brass strip and a bit of scrap etch so frames now fit the body. Next step is to modify the Comet motion bracket/weighshaft to make it fit between the frames then cutting a slot in the sides so that it slips down to the correct height. At this point I can then position the spacer underneath.
Be nice to get some wheels fitted this week too
