Grimsby and Immingham...........

Red Devil

As mentioned in previous enties I've alwas fancied modelling the Grimsby and Immingham tramway and the associated Grimsby and district light railway.

I did make an abortive attempt some time ago http://www.rmweb.co....h__1#entry59456 however to make a resonable sized fleet was going to take a fair bit of scratchbuilding and I do tend to get fed up after one of anything.

With my move into 3d printed models this became much more viable, so here's the first render of an ex-Gateshead car, obviously the celestory roof is yet to be done and a few things still need tweaking.

It's been done with a view to either 4mm or 2mm models don't know which way I'll jump yet. These car bodies would make an intersting wagon load for BR(E) layouts as they were moved by Pickfords to Sunderland Road freight depot in Newcastle then by rail to BR works at York, Stratford, Gorton and Walker Gate, then by rail to Grimsby.

So what's next GC long car or ex Newcastle 'doodle bug' as per pic below

Might be worth seeing if there's a Japanese tram chassis that could fit if done in N. I think the Bachmann Brill will be too wide in the chassis block.
