Loco body all lined out and I've picked out some of the pipework in very much the same way as Hornby do on their current Britannias - although I've used a light grey for the lagging rather than white. I think this looks more subtle.

Yes, this is the deflector that got superglue over it and needed rubbing back and respraying as revealed on one of my status updates :blink: Those Narrow Planet plates do look the dogs :D

That looks top notch Ian.

It will look good pulling a rake of Coaches or Wagons through Duffield for its running in trials ;)

Let me know and I'll bring up a rake of Mark 1's or 40+ 16ton minerals. Derby have not got anymore Tuesday Night games left this season :lol:

 

By the way whats the shed plate?

Hi Mozzer, you know, lets see how well the Golden Arrow Duke of Gloucester Caprotti valve gear lines up with a standard 5 - might have a go at the Crosti 5 next :blink:

Truly splendid. Sorry about that nameplate drop... it's happened to me too. I now stick the nameplate (face side) to a strip of clear cellotape... apply a little glue and use the tape to hold the plate and position it... and hold it in place whilst glue dries. That's my approach now. This loco is truly superb... :good_mini:

Simply stunning - when it all comes together it is going to look absolutely fabulous! :D

 

 

not long now, should get the crew painted over the weekend then it's varnish at work on monday. Oh and paint the weighshaft bracket and fit the cylinder drains and the front steam heat pipe and the NEM coupling pocket on the tender and ......
