Dave must say given the age of the photos and the time taken the quality and clarity of the image is fantastic must have used a better than average camera

The demo models were on the Accurascale stand at Milton Keynes despite being sold out nomdoubtbtheybwill be displaying them again at Warley should have a sign saying look what you can’t get
-
I see from the list of exhibitors that you are not going to be at Warley this year that’s a real shame as I was looking forward to seeing the layout in the flesh
-
Strangely enough the man in the blue clothing looks like a modelu figure

Andy, see what you mean the door looks rather flat and out of place by comparison with the rest of the build

Yes I’m going to working on something to produce the vapour, fog machine or similar. It’s getting the diffusion of the steam at the top that might be difficult!
Yes the legs at the bottom are pretty vital to the overall look so they will be modelled.
Ultimate goal would be a working MGR unloading facility. It would mean a lot of butchering to the Dapol HAA’s though!
have a look at Kathy millets YouTube site she recently did an article on steam generators- 1

There have been problems with the suppression resistor on the new motor I cut mine off there is a picture of one model which is claimed melted a hole through the body

Did you model the lighting gantry on a real location as they appear too tall for the size of depot and look more like the sort of structure you would see in a major marshalling yard

Had a problem with my 7 car APT I thought it was the motor which had burnt out but just got the vehicle back from Hornby and it was actually the capacitor. Extremely fast repair and turn around with postage to be refunded. brought direct from Hornby who honored the pre-order price well done Hornby all round

Sorry yes, I meant upgrade from the old model to the new model, looks nice. I didn't write that very well. I'm surprised how different the colours are on the new model, didn't realise they got the old one so wrong, not that it has ever bothered me in the past. I'm currently and gradually replacing my old locos with newer ones mainly because I prefer the modern mechanisms more than anything else.
Hornby produced the original APT model before the real thing ran so not surprising the colours were wrong

Probably too much material for soldering probably worth looking at brazing
-
The photos in the file show the differences

Unfortunately the peco point motors are out of scale and far too large a HW2000 point motor which is 1500mm long and you can compare this with the inner running edge of rails which are 1432mm (1435mm) apart you used to be able to the correct size ones in white metal from colincraig4mm

Skin tones and blonde hair are the hardest colours to get right in my opinion

Andy when working under my baseboard I have a moulded wooden seat and back as one unit I brought from IKEA , no legs you sit on it as a normal seat and the back holds you upright you can even lean back to look up using your legs as a counterbalance
