In the process of producing a BR Escort Mk 4 Combi Van in 1/76 scale using 2 escort XR3i donor models, will swap the wheels with a Cortina model I have as these are clearly XR3i wheels which it would not have had fitted.

A good friend of mine has purchased an ex BR Escort Mk 4 Combi Van to restore to its former glory, I thought I would have a go at recreating it in 1/76 scale using 2 escort XR3i donor models, will swap the wheels with a Cortina model I have as these are clearly XR3i wheels which it would not have had fitted

Have completed my model of Test Coach 10, contacted Dave Bower who wrote "Rail Vehicle Testing" for assistance with the interior. Bit of modelling license required for the instrument racks however. The donor model was an Oxford Rail Mk3a with the window frames sanded down.

This layout will draw enough attention due to its enormity and level of detail without using "female operators that don’t fit in with the usual norm." but i like your style

There is no standard spacing as the lighting design will take into account height of columns output of lamps along with classification of station which have different lux level requirements

Great photo of Tyneside Central freight depot Class 08 shunting Aug 85 J8362.jpg which shows the remains of an old siding which has been taken out with the check rail and the long bearers left in place

I received an official letter from the liquidators and in it there is a statement regarding tooling and the fact that the company was in dispute with the suppliers in China and Hong Kong.
There was also a deposit paid to a supplier although it implies this may be difficult to recover
The liquidators costs are currently estimated at £33,666 plus £2,000 disbursements although these are not fixed and the solicitors costs are unknown at this stage
seems the only winners will be the liquidators and the solicitors

They also say
The Company is not in a position to provide a refund.- 1

Smaller buildings will make it easier. If you can lower the ply and use polystyrene or something similar on top it will make it easier to set the buildings on a level footing

Jim the 4th picture highlights the issue with the sloping area the buildings need to be vertical not sure you will be able to modify the buildings with such a steep gradient. May be better to have building level with a road down at one end

This video from Network Rail shows Balcombe Tunnel Junction being relaid on the Brighton Main line during a 9 day blockade.
This should provide a useful insight for anyone modelling current day.

The smaller rail wheels are part of the Bachmann chassis and form part of the electrical pickup
