Mine arrived today, beautiful model! But mine was not so fortunate in surviving the postie! The model inside the ice cube is perfectly fine so I seem to have got lucky!

Have bought a number of your kits and loved them! Have you thought about doing a full Mk2 BUO rather than just the sides? it’s user error for sure but I can never get the finish quite right!

That’s a great photo in exactly the same spot i was in today! They haven’t made much further progress but the conveyor does get substantially higher past that point so I’m sure they’ll have to bring some kit in to get it down.

I saw a freightliner container train on 29/01 enter the docks. It seemed well loaded so hopefully this flow has returned! Definitely the first container train I’ve seen enter the docks in the past years. Unfortunately I can’t go that far back on RTT to find out the details

Maritime has taken up a section of wasteland / demolished several shunters cabins and lifted some of the track (Number 7 and 8 Sidings?). Its been there for maybe a year with no rail connection currently. Although it does seem like they could very easily add one

That’s the one! Will be quite the undertaking to get it down! Another “rumour” is that the container terminal now occupying part of the yard is looking to expand. It’ll definitely be a drastic change to the skyline!

Not sure if it’s been discussed here but theres a rumour at work that the Coal Hoppers at Avonmouth BBHT have been sold. On site down there today and progress has started on the conveyor belt with approximately half of the lower end gone!

Well that took a little longer than expected! Took a lot of time to pluck up the courage to take the oil paints to the body but the initial paint fading is done using the excellent Bunters yard video as a guide. I’ve left it quite subtle as the reference pictures show a real range in the degree of fading so I’ve gone somewhere in the middle! Now I’ll be looking to send the model off to be airbrushed weathered as I’m pretty nervous to give that a go!

08561 has interested me for a long time with the faded BR Blue and Maroon toolbox it’s certainly different ! So after months of waiting on eBay for the right 08 body shell with the correct boxes I’ve found a Hornby shell that was previously 08644 , I’ve removed the numbers logos and nameplates and hopefully this will be a quick project if I can work out a way to replicate the faded BR Blue paint work… I’ve painted the toolbox and I’m waiting on some blue paint to cover the extra wasp stripes that aren’t needed for 08561. If anyone knows any techniques for faded BR Blue please let me know! I’m pretty stuck at the moment!

This is great currently bashing a Resin one but a 3D printed bodyshell would be far easier! What printer do you have? Tempted by one myself

Fitted a Midland Valenta 3D printed Compressor, Fuel Pump and ETS to a pair of Lima power cars. A great and easy mod to do taking about 10 minutes with a craft knife and a razor saw.

Finally finished my model of Network Rail Mk2 Brake Force Runner 99666. It’s by no means perfect but I think it’s a fair representation and a good first attempt. The @railtec-models transfers are absolutely beautiful and a breeze to use. Having made a fair few Airfix models years ago I was apprehensive of my rusty skills while applying the transfers but these are far better and of a far higher quality.A DBSO is done and ready for painting just waiting on some etched window frames and laser glaze if I can hopefully get some ordered.

No real updates but a new member to the fleet in the form of 37710 in my favourite Loadhaul Livery Factory fitted sound is great but the speaker is seriously lacking and the loco will be getting a upgrade at some point in the near future but im unsure on what path to go down. My time has been going to this... a summer project for the dad and I a simple garden figure of 8. It's built on a tight budget with the curves being formed and mounted on the framing of a old trampoline and the track feeds made of repurposed lawn mower twin core. It will eventually be landscaped in with a garden railway staple being a pond in the middle of one of the loops. A cruel close up of the soldered track leads (my job) Breaking the trend on this page of Modern Image heres my Dad's Black Label A4 on a rake of 8 Hornby Silver Fox Coaches. A Stunning model and nothing beats a layout where a 8 coach train can easily disappear from view.

Yeah I was a aware it would a little but had no clue it would go that dark I used a deluxe materials dry mix in PVA and was happy with how easy it went on.

I've now started ballsting the layout using Hattons ballast. I'm happy with the result although i wasn't anticipating the ballast would dry this dark? With some sections being such a dark grey the layout could be mistaken as a steam depot covered in coal! Excuse the mess i'll upload a complete photo when the entire layout has been ballasted and cleaned up some more sleeper painting is required before i get this far .
