  1. The 3 pole motors I had where CRAP. I even put them in good run in locos that had 3 pole motors.
  2. They would not pull the skin of a rice pudding.
  3. My Bachmann Tornado in the far one in Doncaster Green / L N E R Green inside cab all pipe work and dial are painted. The blue Tornado is the TTS version Railways nothing in the cab is painted in any deatail only detail on cab is glassed windows. The black tornado is / was the blue enhanced r 3206 version but that was basically the railroad version . Tornado in brunswick / British Railways green is the railroad version. Quality wise the Bachmann Tornado is the best.
  4. Will the new Hornby P2 come with a 5 pole motor and not the CRAP 3 pole motor as Cock O The North had. All of my P2s now have the 5 pole fitted ,three of them to be renamed and none will be P, O , W.
  5. Will be fitting one of these into the glossy P2 doing away with wire to tender.
  6. UPDATE. I plan on fitting IPhone speakers in the smoke box of my Ps yet to be fitted with TTS Dcoders.
  7. Thanks for infomation Fireline, idea is to make up a larger track for grandson.
  8. The battery Hornby Junior sets of R1215 & R 1247 are they OO gauge ,I know it is plastic clip track .
  9. No it dose not have to be Flying Scotsman 4472 but i wold like one. All I mean is Hornby have not got a the Gresley A1 in the Hornby Railways range . Something like what robmcg as posted on this thread.
  10. I think most people would struggle with there P1s hauling 100 wagons. My layout is only 20 ft X 4ft 6 inc .
  11. I would be happy with the same tooling of the railroad tts Flying Scotsman version.
  12. That's my point Hornby only do Flying Scotsman A1 (apart from A1 tts railroad) in bog standard railroad version.
  13. Why don't Hornby produce a Gresley A1 Flying Scotsman in the full detail Hornby Railways range. Yes the do the A3 version of Flying Scotsman in Hornby Railways full detail range but why not the 4472 in the A1 class.
  14. The reason ì mentioned Hornby was due to the fact they produced the Greasley P2.
  15. Would anyone buy the Gresley P1 if Hornby produced one i would for sure.
  16. The W1 was never given a name & had the No 10000 . But when fitted out with stream line body I have seem photos with it running No 10000 & 60700. Did LNER ever number any loco's 10000+ or 60700+ .
  17. Check-out Rob Hayes on here he glossed a few of his Gresley A4s .
