  1. And the good news is - before about mid-1971 they did not have hand rails along the walkway. Also, the rails appear to have been either yellow or orange (but quickly became black with use).
  2. Or you can do, as I have just done, a send a follow-up e-mail - with a copy of the Letter Before Small Claims Court claim attached - to info@cooper-craft.co.uk If we all just sit around moaning and do nothing - he gets away with it. And it makes it easier for others to cheat us, knowing they too will probably get away with it. And can we please keep this thread on the sole subject of Cooper Craft and not drag honest traders into his cess.
  3. Rather than sit around moaning about the problems with Cooper Craft, on Monday I send this Dunn guy the pro forma "Letter before Small Claims Court claim" which can be found here: http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/letter/letter-before-small-claims-court-claim Outlay to date - a 2nd class stamp. He has 28 days to respond. We will see if anything happens.
  4. So you got those drivers - GRRR! Ho hum, better luck next time. Good luck with the project - looks excellent.
  5. Yes - I see he is to attend Scalefour North (which is out of my range). If you are there, please ask him for return of my £30 - as all my efforts have met with silence!
  6. Do not be tempted to buy from the Cooper Craft web site. This business appears to have ceased trading and, if you place an order on the site, you will see neither your order or your money again.
  7. The only place to find Jonathan Allen's photographs now is: www.geograph.org.uk/profile/61944 and click on Railways (2nd down). Unfortunately, he has had a few "pinched" from this site, one appearing in a book (without acknowledgement) and others offered for sale on E-Bay! So he will not be posting any more Irish on Geograph. However, if anybody here wants anything specific, he'll have a root through the collection and see what he has.
  8. According to "Along UTA Lines", the NCC cabin at Antrim was built in 1945 and I cannot recall ever seeing a photograph of what was there before. The NCC structure closed in 1970 and was later demolished. All I have is a very poor 35mm taken at Easter 1975.
  9. How about this, Colm: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1601591 There was a proposed railtour, possibly on 9 or 10 September 1989 and possibly organised by MRSI, but No. 2 failed at the last moment and the tour was cancelled (and No. 2 withdrawn).
  10. To go with No. 2, you should now build a model of NIR's 1975 "high-tec" weed control train. Not be too difficult!
  11. Taken from the UTA Report & Accounts for year to 30 September 1951 - and the front certainly looks flat! There appears to be some sort of skirt over the draw-gear and where will you get that intermediate? PM me if you want a copy.
