  1. Hi all, As many of you will be aware I was the designer for Little Loco Company but had no financial, business or manageable stake in it - I was only a contractor. We had started to set up another company which my husband and Steve were partners on ( Kitpart ), this never did anything really as you can see by the fact it is Dormant and it will be removed completely at some point soon. I cant answer for Steve not answering communications he has not been in a great place since he become ill and he also has a young son to deal with as well, so contact is some what sporadic with him. I too have been quite heavily affected by all this having given up my own work and small business to concentrate solely on LLC last year, and have had to suddenly swing everything right round at some cost to reboot that again. That is pretty much all I can put forward for you at this moment, and I know he does intend to get things sorted out but that his personal life has really got in the way of everything. Nikki

  3. I am the design engineer for Little Loco Company , and I can say yes the cad work has been done and is ready for tooling, It took a long time to develop all of the new systems and a number of new methods for production of this model.
  4. One of the biggest issues with glue and kits is there isnt enough gap left around the hole or slot where the glue is meant to go - meaning that no matter how smaller amount is placed it still forces it out and onto the surface. But even designing that gap into a kit still would need a precise amount added to the part, something thats a bit hit and miss with anyone, especially on a production line. Making an entire model to be nearly all no glue, is quite challenging, and involves working out hidden clips, screws and pips, whilst still making sure it is all mouldable and accessable. Regards Nikki
  5. The engine shed was very near to the lighthouse and was an odd design.. but to be fair the whole railway was a pretty eclectic mix of stock and locomotives.
  6. I have recently cadded up the engine shed - as I was going to build Spurn head in O gauge, as usual I didnt work got in the way, so if you need drawings I can send you the cad / a PDF etc and scale it to what ever you require. I also have drawings for the lighthouse.
  7. Designing in 1:43.5 and 1:220 is interesting, its surprising the amount of detail that can be transferred to the smaller scale with some thought !
  8. Whilst The Nth Degree is working on the electrical and control systems, I'm working on the practicalities of micro engineering mechanical systems and fitting both electrical and mechanical systems into a 50 x 11 mm space !
