  1. Many thanks Callum - think that’s some of the best close up footage I have ever seen of my micro and thankfully no derailments, unexpected uncoupling or lack of operator concentration captured…unless you edited those bits 😉
  2. Many thanks for your kind words and great photos Jamie - very nice to meet you too yesterday...👍
  3. No worries Rob - I think a lot of us had a long drive so were keen to get away sharpish! Yep I was home after 9pm which included a couple of stops for charging my EV - great day out so worth the drive though... Likewise I hope you both got back ok and hope to catch you at another show some time.
  4. Nice to meet you and Sharon yesterday Rob and be neighbours for the SWAG event! Very pleased to have seen your layout and it looks absolutely fabulous 🙌🏼 Looking forward to see how the current project develops as it will be another cracker! Best wishes, Pete
  5. I would like to echo my thanks to Rob and the team for the invite and organising and hosting a fab day including Graham and the catering team 👍🏼 First time last year as an observer, this time as an exhibitor and nice to see old faces, meet new ones and see excellent layouts. Thanks to all those who helped out with my lunchtime short circuit (we are thinking heat in the hall!) and David Long for helping set up and run the layout. Thanks also to Marc Smith who leant a hand too 👍🏼 Cracking pasty and cakes a plenty! Reflecting on a terrific day over a glass of wine. Thanks all and hope to be back next year as an observer… Pete
  6. Am there too Rob - look forward to meet you and see this layout! Pete
  7. This looks to be a great unique project Mark - watching with interest 👍 Gotta love a Pannier whatever the livery. Ready to bring to SWAG? 😜
  8. Hope the driver looking on is going to get a cab home from the Shuck!
  9. This is all looking great Bob. Thanks for sharing the build and I look forward to the next update!
  10. I always thought he said " Hello, good evening and welcome"...unless that was Mike Yarwood's take on him! Nice work there Mark finished to your usual high standards 👍 Look forward to see them once they have been through the MB weathering workshop...
  11. For some reason, the photo didn't appear Rob, so here you go...copyright of Chris Nevard@ModelRail
  12. Nice work Mark! Are these for a new layout specifically or can be used as a set for various layouts?
  13. I did...and he ran off 😜 Thanks for posting the pictures as I could not make it this year...👍🏼
  14. Nice work on the 25 Chris! Been after a 25/3 myself - think this is about the only one left in the UK if you fancy a respray to blue! https://oliviastrains.com/product-category/Heljan-main/Heljan-o-gauge/Heljan-o-diesel/Heljan-class-25-o-gauge/
  15. Nice project to keep you busy during the house mods! Is the opening to allow you to attach a Fiddle stick so it can be a stand alone project once complete?
  16. Is it possible to get a bit more info on the layouts above (Scale era etc.) as having been checking your Wordpress website and it says more detail to follow... No worries if not, as I will just google them and look what that offers up! Was a good show last year 👌 Thank you in advance Pete
  17. Fab line up - always a great show...
  18. Many thanks indeed Mike for your kind words. Yes I was pleased how the mirror worked out - otherwise I would have curved the back scene slightly. As an update, I seemed to have cracked the 3 link couplings. Have replaced the end links with some steel links and made a brass rod with a miniture 1x2mm magnet in one end - coupling and uncoupling now a lot smoother...and quicker 😅
  19. Great to find this layout via a tip off! Good to see you have moved to 7mm Kevin - this layout is shaping up nicely. Watching with interest...👍🏼
  20. Happy Christmas Mike - good to see you posting again! That tree stand just lacks some railway shaped presents sat beneath it now…
  21. I echo Mikkel's post - what a great find buried in the blogs Mike! Hope you are well? This looks a fabulous project and very keen to hear more...especially how you did the water. The main photo you posted is breathtaking - so good as always your photography and lighting are spot on. Liking the cladding too. I stop at Warrington Bank Quay on my way to visit one of my sites and often think it would make a great back scene on a model - cladding looks to be the same colour too! Look forward to hear more...
  22. I think when we aren’t feeling 100% it’s normal to have a dip in mojo - Hope you feel better soon Rob with those health issues. Maybe visit a show as a punter as a good show can help restore it.
