  1. My apologies, indeed sold out at Hornby’s.
  2. Since it’s sold out, I guess a lot of them weren’t tested before going to the display cabinet. I hope Hornby has a reserve stock for people who bought it as a gift and haven’t had the opportunity to test them yet. But past experiences would say no.
  3. Unfortunately, you might have to cut these, because in the short position they block/hamper/cut the 4-pin connection. Not a big issue, unless like me you’d like to run some set track around the Christmas tree later on.
  4. No, the recent Hermit and the Dublo FS have these new type of couplings too. I have a CoA too, but it won’t come home soon, it’ll be professionally weathered by Neville Grove together with the whole Coronation rake.
  5. It seems to me that this new type of plug is better working, and closer coupling, on the previous locos like P2’s and A1’s. I have four of these, and not a single issue. And the gap between tender and engine looks smaller too. So it’s really a step back.
  6. Apart from some sound issues, a very nice interview, and interesting for more than only TT fans.
  7. Apart from the renders in the latest Engine Shed nothing much. They could indeed be more open about ongoing projects.
  8. From Viesman it’s €238, so about £205 rrp?
  9. Would the TXS suplied speakers be a possible upgrade? Some of my TXS-equiped locos came withe pre fitted speakers, so I have some spares.
  10. You can pre-order a Veismann starter set at Rails: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/catenary-starter-set
  11. My money's on a Terrier as a first Southern loco.
  12. Hopefully not the same on-off system of the Turbomotive?
  13. I totally get that, I weather (or have Neville Grove do it ten times better) all my locomotives, but if you see this one, it won’t be easy to do it justice!
  14. They did confirm in the Q&A that the J50 will have a front coupling. I'm more disapointed that they don't have a TXS version (as yet) from either 0-6-0.
  15. And I like then, and I’m buying (some of them) and I am happy with these, because it’s my hobby. Sorry no sorry.
