  1. A few ideas: all current liveries Ex-EWS with the DB logos (60065) puma 60074 (I think) which is a grey DB livery and called Luke ex-colas Debranded to run for GBRf DB STEEL ON STEEL
  2. See these…. Compare the Hornby packs to the revolution double packs and actually it does appear Hornby are doing a double pack although I simply cannot believe this to be the case for £50….
  3. Does anyone know where the DRAX wagons can be found? Absolutely gutted I missed the kernel slot I had no clue which were tier 1 and so I just missed it completely.
  4. I couldn’t agree more, if they do a GBRF class 60 like the class 50 it’ll ruin it.
  5. Now the biomass wagons have been announced, it’s just waiting for the “cut down” versions! Any idea when liveries may be announced or is this hush hush at the moment? I’ve ordered the coal HYA 6 pack and when my student loan comes in I’ll be getting the biomass 8 pack haha!
  6. Another idea - we need a OO Gauge class 60 in GBRF livery!! Also, there are those new white GBRF biomass hoppers (NOT the ones being made by Accurascale) which could go nicely with it....
  7. Oh awesome! Someone in the thread said it was destroyed!
  8. If you look at the new DRAX wagons in N gauge there are new liveries. It’s such a shame they destroyed the tooling it’s such a waste. Accurascale are doing GBRF biomass but not DRAX biomass I believe.
  9. I’d love to see a re tooling of the 800 IEP to make the TPE 802, but they may wait until the EMR and Avanti ones come out before they bother, this is a shot in the sark but TPE class 397 would be awesome! And for goodness sake Hornby bring out some new DRAX wagons!
  10. I’m hoping to convert to DCC soon, I am looking into the Gaugemaster prodigy and Hornby select. However, I am unsure as to how both connect to the track and I don’t know which additional parts I may need to buy. Amy help appreciated!
  11. Hello, starting on here and YouTube recently. Any advice? Got a fairly basic DC layout based in modern times. Check it out on my channel (link on my profile) if you’re interested. Any forums for when exhibitions are scheduled? - obviously none at the moment but for when the virus passes! cheers ollie
  12. Hello! New to this site and to YouTube! I’m a beginner in terms of modelling but have around 10 locos and some respectable stock. Excited to join this community :) find my channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1mBB0U8ATptKYXNxoSbH3g

constructive criticism is very welcome and if you’re not interested that’s fine! Any support is appreciated! Stay safe during the virus people and have a good day. Ollie

      Welcome to the site.

I'd agree with Mikkel about the "new members" section of this site - although that area's best kept for saying "hello", there are plenty of areas where you can post / ask questions about different areas of the hobby.

It might also be worth checking out some of the stuff various people are posting about stuff they're doing during the lockdown. (I know - some people have even been building models ... .) Of course, for most people here, it's only a hobby - although I suspect that somebody might have said something similar about football to Bill Shankly ... .

Seriously though, don't feel under any pressure to do or say too much at first - far better to get used to the site (and what happens here) first. You'll soon get used to who's who - who knows stuff about different topics - that sort of stuff.

I'm sure you'll soon find that most of the people round here are reasonably friendly. (OK - I probably would say that - I've only been here since 2009.)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here.

      All the best,

      Huw.

Its hard to say, but is it factory DCC fitted or has it had a chip installed? I found that my 153s seem much better using some decoders than others, but of course that's on DCC not DC. I'd check the obvious things first, like that the pickups and wheels are clean and that there's nothing preventing the motor from spinning freely.
