  1. As a quiet but regular visitor - who has all your photos on PC for slideshows (personal use only) - you get my vote. Exquisite! Tonkin.
  2. I love the way things are entwining. That is the graffiti look IMnotsoHO. Please feel free to overlap/whatever mine. Tonkin.
  3. - Love to see G & T together! - lottsa fun and great pics! Tonkin
  4. - Give the poor ###### my regards. (I bet your poor ###### is not the same as my more virulent poor ######)

Sorry for the delay, gentlemen. Big Jim: you have my sympathy. I've had it before so it's not the examination I'm sweating over - it's the possible result...

Thanks, Devonsider. Actually, it's not the procedure I'm sweating over - I've had it before and it didn't bother me - it's the result I'm worrying over. If it comes to the worst... Well, it's best treated early.

Ah, yes, that puts it in a different light. All I can say is "Best wishes & fingers crossed for a satisfactory outcome".

  6. Cystoscopy to take place on the 16th July. Now I'll be sweating blood aswell as passing it! (I hope it's not a big Nikon

  7. - and to have your babies, I assume? lol *jester thingy* CONGRATS ALSO! (why haven't I checked out acg_mr 's thread for a long time?... Must peek)
  8. (chuckle) - Its actually screen-printed on fabric. It's a scarf called a *fukusha* Cutting stencils is laborious but once done, you can produce more. (Don't ask. They belong to Nichiren Shoshu Taisikiji and are not for general sale.)
  9. The redcap-crane's feathers are exquisite - a lot of work!
  10. I haven't and it is worth try, but I think it's to do with posting statistics... You can leave, then join again ( I know someone who did that) but you start with zero. Not necessarily a bad thing. If I do it, it'll be when starting a thread.* * I know - pigs, etc., etc., tonkin PS: Nearly forgot (my sponge of a brain these days!) T/K as discussed, would be perfect, too.
  11. Jaz, - that building is perfect for the site - a nice model and a nice piece of foreground bulk. I'd like to see the signal box pair up with the station buildings, at the end of the far platform(?). Its a nice model and will look much better in a lineside site IMHO. I like the fresco in less sharp shots, with general lighting. It shows how they'll appear, as a background to the trains in general usage. (For my logo, I'd love either TONKIN or tonkin in pseudo Sino-Japanese calligraphy. It would complete it beautifully!) tonkin - my FB name and now my "name of plums" RMweb. I can't do anything about Brass0four - I wish I could - there is a reason for it, but it's way out of date
  12. - And mine was an assumption, totally without a credible source! AV's magic can scramble one's brains; well, mine anyway. So what it! - it's a laff! And chrise knows, the staff (one) of Park Crescent Cottage Hospital need all the laffs they (he) can get.
  13. Well, blue is common amongst the Brylcreem boys - Jaz obviously sees you as the Golden Boy! *I've forgotten the jester thingy*
  14. Looking excellent! The marker is a good bet given the complexity of the feathers. And it is lovely to see all the different logos come together. As a Steam Punk fan I applaud my next-door neighbour! Tony. edit: I didn't dare try to edit the repeat images out. I'd probably have made a real mess of everything.
  15. Well, today her Ladyship's Motability car goes for good. Now she's detereorated to a degree where she's housebound it is no longer valid. Such is life. (pity I can't walk far! LOL)

  16. I should have known, just as AV seemed to be leaning a little toward the prototypical norm, a blitz of Jaz Majik reminds us just why AV holds us in glamor like no other thread! Respec' Tonkin.
  17. Funny, I haven't got the text (and picture?) shown in my email notification? Tony. - or is the van the only picture?
  18. - So sorry, Jaz. Words fail me... Kind Regards, Tony.
  19. I don't like those sort of caps either. There again, I (used to) use Humbrol enamels for most things; or shades mixed from Artist's oils: the concentration of quality pigment is so high that you can get a very large amount from these tubes, which are colour-fast and predictable. And you can use Alkyd jells to speed up drying, etc., Tony aka Tonkin, aka "That Jap - etc.,"
  20. [quote name="Sasquatch" post="1492768" I am very exited to get the Goathland layout up and running. It's been two years since trains have run on it. There'll be plenty of picture then I promise!! All the Best Shaun
  21. Hi David, Just a note to tell you how much I enjoy your work. If any layout makes me want to model contemporary prototype yours does, particularly featuring current diesels. I've just had a bad eye-opener. I've six sound steam locos and three diesels, and I realised why I don't run the steam locos with sound very much. It's 'cos - to me - the sound makes the lack of exhaust, etc, even more obvious... Just my point of view. regards, Tony.
  22. One of the best in my youth - when large-scale graffiti was unknown - was FREE NELSON MANDELA. ~It was everywhere, mainly white or black but large and in - for then - impressive locations. Ah, the *60s... sigh. (Then, and later, a certain M Thatcher called him a terrorist... )
  23. - don't tell anyone, but - occasionally - as I went about my duties as a Leading Fireman, I overheard myself lovingly described as: "that Jap bastard!" Happy days. To clarify, Tynemouth Red Watch were the best guys on the planet and I was fortunate to work with them.
