  1. Just build a 12" to the foot garden shed kit. It was rubbish! Met-Pak didn't work, Solder was useless and burnt it. In the end we had to use screws and nails!

      Screws are for wimps.

Big nails, bigger hammer.  Works every time!

Now that you have the experience of building a shed you might consider the possibility of a second one:

  2. Given I have unfinished locos in 2mm, 3mm and 4mm why do I keep looking at the Connoisseur Models starter kit?

I knew there had to be a reason.

Do it, they're lovely kits and go together really well. And yes, Jim's a top bloke

So you're aiming for an unfinished loco in 7mm to complete the set?

  3. took a plan from RM - flipped it to fit the space - added a run-round - and then realised it was now exactly the same as "The Bay", can I get away with it? Hmmm

Of course! There's no such thing as trackplan copyright, and this particular one is pretty straightforward stuff anyway. I'm sure there were many similar ones. Out of curiosity, what RM trackplan is it?

Oh I know, and it's for my own enjoyment. RM August 1997 pg 369. Always likes bays from my time as a teenager travelling from Basingstoke to Reading in the 1970's, and always with a parcel van on the spare road.

Thanks, I'll sort through my RMs. "The bay" is just the Lambourn bay plan at Newbury with a bit extra from the Winhcester bay thrown in :-) That sounds like a nice route to be travelling in the 70s.
