one of the jobs this week is a Martin Finney LSWR low roof van kit Dia 1410 & as i do not normally build wagons i have put this build in My Blog
so far i have got the chassie to a rolling stage & there are 26 parts to it
the build is taking a lot longer than it takes me to build a coach as the kit Can build to any of 3 Diagrams which can have any of 5 brake types & 2 axle boxes so just finding the part takes longer than fitting it
the one i am building is to dia 1410 fitted with morton brakes & panter axle boxes
Here are the 3 sets of 2 GNR coaches now that i have glazed the

I have been given a part built Module that a member OF CRM now does not have time to finish here are some pics
Behind the coaches is a strip of land that i am thinking of putting a row of timber building on
If anyone has any ideas as to what else i can do to it please say
well one of the jobs i did today was to finish off the Comet kits kit No W46 of the Dia F24 slip coach
I have found this as with all the other Comet kits i have built a nice kit to work on with no problems though i did replace the seating from the kit with southern pride seats
Well i have had some fun with the chassie
1st the solebars etch for the fold was not wide enough to be folded so i had to wided it it out al so the solebar steps markings were in the wrong place this info has been past on to Errol
A Today as well as painting the Highland TPO I am making a start on a GWR Dia L23 TPO from the 247 Developments range
Heres what you get in the box i am going to be replacing the etched Gangways with 247's cast ones
now off to switch on the iron
this afternoon i have been working on a set of etches from 247 Development for a Highland Railway
heres what you get from 247
well i had a brass chassie which with a bit of triming fits this needs to be 184mm long
i have built up the body without its cast fittings & the chassie still needs truss rods & it castings fitting which i hope to get done tomorrow which i got from 247
with the etch you get a roof which needs rolling i will also do this tomorrow
the bogie are from 247
Well today i have managed to finish off the Highland TPO so it ready for painting the Mail dropoff Equipment & net will be fitted after painting
After rolling the roof i fitted it along with the roof lights which needed the ends filling wich i managed to do with low melt solder I also made the end steps plus fitted the end grabrails
the truss rods were made up from .7mm wire & some split pins the rest of the chassie detail was then fitted all of this is from 247 Development
I have made this coach so that the chassie is bolted on to the body to aid painting
This is now sat on the radiater drying so it can get a coat of primer tonight then it will be painted over this week
Next on my work bench is a 247 developments Kit for a GWR Dia L23 lot 1503 a twin pick up Post Office Stowage Van
well so far today i have built up the roof & fitted mopst of the underframe casting but as these are not in the kit i need to order some Dynamos & gangways tofinish of this coach
I found the roof nice to build & roll thow it was a tight fit between the ends when i build the all 3rd i will build the roof 1st so that the roof will fit better
