  1. Another vote for a 1990s D9000 from me 🤚 Cheers! Bruce
  2. Getting back on topic, many pages back I'm sure I saw some photos of the inside gubbins of the 37s, but with the picture outage has removed it. Any chance they could be reposted? Bruce
  3. I've found Lifecolour's BR Blue to be a pretty good match for the Bachmann shade. Hope that helps! Bruce
  4. It will have been removed with the end of NRN Radio equipment which has been replaced by GSMR. Bruce
  5. Deltic 22's current condition is in the middle of overhaul at Locomotive Services in Crewe. Prior to that it had been disguised as 55018, 55007 and 55003. I strongly suspect before returning the locomotive will be repainted again before its return, hopefully later this year. Pure speculation, but I would put good money on that being in Green as D9000 again. Bruce
  6. Ooh you big tease! I knew you'd be on it, but thanks for confirming! Bruce
  7. Thanks Fran, I'm certain this has been spotted and is being corrected but as it has not been directly mentioned, I notice that the Green and Blue painted samples have the incorrect cant rail grills for the pilot scheme locos - could you just confirm this is being corrected, I'm sure it is! Cheers, Bruce
  8. 13575 was defiantly in the later dark NSE blue, and as can be seen bellow defiantly didn't match the rest of the rake! Bruce P.S.: A lovely Mk2c TSOT leading there... come on guys you know you want to 😉
  9. I should have clarified Paul - your picture shows a Mk2a, and I'm pretty sure the carriage is in the original shade, while the door has been painted in the revised shade. It's not just the brightness that's different - indeed both shades have probably faded, it is the red content in the two respective shades. My point was (and is) that to the best of my knowledge non of the Mk2bs (and cs) ever received the revised shade, and therefore in the context of this thread we need only worry about the original shade, which to my eye, AC have got spot on. Bruce
  10. By no means an expert, but I believe only some Mk2a's received the later "dark" blue, along with the unique Mk2D FK and EMU/DMU stock. Bruce
  11. A Class 40 (or to give it its correct title for the period, English Electric Type 4) rather than a 37. In front is a vacuum brake tender, designed to add additional brake force when operating a loose coupled or unfitted train. Bruce
  12. Not quite. As you can see the panel was simply made larger to accommodate the new headlight, and 22 still has the unique narrow footstep without rounded top corners, different to all the other members of the class. Bruce
  13. I suspect a change in the rules regarding distances from OHLE. Bruce
  14. Time to announce the next batch then? 🙏 I'm itching to know which versions are coming next! Bruce
  15. 7! 😲 I think I may need to see a financial advisor! Bruce
  16. Within the month it seems! The photos above if correctly dated are from an "official" photoshoot on the 5th Nov 1981. By the 28th the roof was blue! I suspect in the final months a there were a lot of people handy with paint pots! Any chance of selling a colour match blue paint so those who want it blue can change it?! (I am joking!) Deepest Respect! Cheers, Bruce
  17. As I suspected I think we are both right. The Grey roof section appears in some photos but not others, although I'm struggling to find a photograph showing the mid section painted grey or sliver - have you got any more Fran? Cheers! Bruce
  18. Hi Fran, Hmm Not convinced! I Suspect the reality was it was both at different points in time. Looking at the tanks in particular these are defiantly silver. These also show only the grills silver rather than the roof as well. Bruce
  19. Okay I'm going to brave and mention something else I spotted in the Key Model World video, 55022's silver roof seems to appear as grey rather than the lovely silver seen in the earlier samples. I'm sure you guys are on this but would be nice to be confirmed Cheers, Bruce
  20. Heljan have confirm this has been corrected to a version without headlight. Bruce
  21. They weren't repainted immediately as this photo (not mine) shows. Bruce
  22. OT but Roco have done this in HO Scale... Bruce
  23. Just a note to say I emailed Heljan regarding this and this was there response: Fingers crossed @61661 Ben Jones is on the case! Regards, Bruce
  24. A long shot but I wonder if 3371: BR General Grey 33108 could be changed to NOT have an headlight, as to the best of my knowledge Heljan have done several General Grey 33/1s with headlight but never without! Well you can but ask! Edit: Indeed my brief research suggest that 33108 never carried General Grey with a headlight, it gained Dutch in 1990 before gaining its headlight early 92. Bruce
  25. No these have already been confirmed as new tooling, no doubt based on the new chassis developed for the 24/1 and 24/0. Bruce
