  7. Thanks Kevin, Good photo especially with the cars as well.
  8. Hi Kevin, Great to see Leaford again at the Brockenhurst Exhibition, did you get any photos showing the Grainflow Polybulks?
  9. Thanks to those of you who and bought and recommended my BR Blue books, hoping to start another volume soon although not sure exactly what it will be yet. Regards John
  10. Looking forward to seeing some photos and later the layout in the flesh, good to bump into you again at Reading last saturday.
  11. We were pleased to have Leaford at Brockenhurst this weekend just gone, it performed well and was popular with our members. I think we did well to fit in seeing as we did not have the dimensions for it until Kevin arrived. Hoping to see photos of it with the Grainflow polybulks in service. Unfortunately I did not take any photos of it myself. We also had Beechshire by Keith Naish for it's first outing which made it a good show for Modern modellers. I have checked my old Exh guides and Leaway Park and Hollybank Depot were both at Brockenhurst in May 1990, they were also both at Romse in September 1990.
  12. I see this is mentioned as used in BR yards but does any one know if they were used in steam depots for coaling locos, I am thinking specifically of Bournemouth Central where they coaled the locos with some sort of crane/shovel.

Just received my 53810 and very pleased with it too, I have fitted a set of white lamps to the front. After studying the 7F photos in the Ivo Peters books none of the lamps look as if they are white, does any one know if they are all just dirty or were they black or some other dark colour. Unfortunately I have no books with colour photos. Thanks John
  14. Thanks for the plug for the book Peter, glad you liked it. Waiting for some reviews to appear in the mags now. Regards John
