Sorry if this question has been asked previously in the 74 pages here, but has anyone noticed a tangible benefit from the show, like increased sales of modelling magazines, increase in people wandering into model shops or attendance a exhibitions?

If these production runs are as few as is being suggested I can't see how Hornby, or other manufacturers for that matter can make significant amounts of money, take off 20% vat all the production costs, profit for the retailer even if they were coming away with a profit of £20 per item you're not meeting the salary of one member of staff.
