  1. The gears were for the early build locos. Not been any issues with the Class 05 or 37 with centre headcode panels or the Class 60’s. As regards to people wanting the Romanian Class 56, I would say they need to cover all the range as they have not specifically asked whether people want the Romanian batch, 56031-56069, the batch they plan to do or 56301-312. It is as bizarre as the person who decided not to do the Class 14 and instead that they assumed that the Falcon would be a better seller. They just made assumptions based on the OO Gauge model but ended up making themselves look foolish as on the HJ returns stand this was the only model left that was still sat there at the end of the day. Where everything else sold probably within the first 30mins.
  2. Wake up at the back. Heljan have already sorted out the gears so that is a non issue. Already mentioned on other threads. Next you will be asking them to sort out the Mazak issue out too... There are a few detailing differences to the Romanian 56's. Not really a case of carrying the same liveries. First of all the have a smaller nose grill. Then the cab windows are rounded, as mentioned earlier some has a rubber seal around the high intensity headlight whilst others have the square headlight. 56007 has square buffers, the rest AFAIK all have round buffer heads, I would like to know whether it will be fitted with the standard round high intensity headlight for 56070-56135 or the later style square headlight as I have seen pictures of some of this batch carrying both styles (not at the same time). Also, I am guessing 56077 is not going to be a general release with the MGR Working Yellow Belisha Beacon Warning lights. So, will this be produced as an optional extra by a kit manufacturer or will someone produce 56077 as a Special Edition?
  3. There was a model on the HJ Stand. Can’t remember if decorated or not. Everything else new mentioned in AY Post
  4. Sorry didn’t get any pictures but the Class 122 will be here before the Class 121. Class 122 - End Year/Beginning Next Year Class 121 - A few months later. If you are interested in the Loadhaul 122 then let Dapol know as this is a possibility in future along with Network Rail Class 121 with cameras (non functioning)
  5. Sorry there has been no progress. All my models have been boxed up in storage for the past six weeks since moving house a month ago. One of my jobs hopefully these weekend is to start sorting out the railway room to make some space so I can organise building a new layout and also so I have some space to work on my models. As I do not have the energy after work during the week at the moment.
  6. I would have thought that the first stop would be the Fuelling Point like at Toton, Knottingley, Bescot and Tinsley from memory.
  7. Why? Early BR Green Diesels and Electrics didn’t need yellow ends. Locomotives in the USA, Canada and the rest of Europe do not need them. I think we should remove them and maybe A) people will be a lot more careful who work on the railway. B) People who trespass on the railway should think more carefully before risking their life if it is harder to see what is coming Until people get wise to the fact that a Yellow cab can’t be treated like a hard hat and protect you from being an idiot. Anyway, the yellow cab doesn’t make the locomotive any more safe than big flashing lights and a klaxon saying get out of the way!!! Back on topic - I think it looks better without the yellow ends as the yellow ruins it!
  8. I think that you might just have been unlucky when looking for a Class 33 on certain bay sites. I recently purchased a Class 26 & Class 33 for reasonable amounts in the past couple of months. Although correct for my time period but not for my intended region I do think they are good little models and they will suit my smaller planned layout. It is possible that you might find one at Telford or Warley.
  9. It can be run with the Prendalino MK3 which Hornby produced as it run a few tests on the WCML before going abroad? https://www.flickr.com/photos/37190-dalzell/25243804377
  10. Which Megafrets was it that you were after and when did you last search for them? If it was the GBRF, Freightliner and DRS ones then Rails Of Sheffield have had some of these in the past month or so I believe.
  11. When I was at school we were read a book called The Terbulent Term Of Tyke Tyler. Now although this may seem unrelated but back in around 1984/1985 there was a chapter in this book where the main character Tyke and her friends trespass on a railway and for some reason a train approaches and I remember her friends only just jump clear of the train but she has her foot stuck under one of the rails and has to lie flat and the train passes over her. Now if there are books glorifying railway trespass and not properly highlighting the dangers then there will be children who think that they can copy what they have seen and heard. After hearing about this story that put me off going near to the railway tracks. Jump forward to the present day and after one person has trespassed on the Humber Bridge climbing the towers and walking along the suspension cables without any safety gear then posting it on social media this has then encouraged other idiots to copy the first idiot to break the law to trespass and risk life, limb not only their life but of the motorists driving below!
  12. Obviously not bothered about Data Protection Act, Stealing Customer Details, Data theft, breaching GPDR guidelines as it is now called or any other laws your friend has broken in order to make some money? Then people wonder why they get lots of junk/spam emails and phone calls from these unsolicited jerks! I hope you reported his crimes to the authorities as it is still technically Employee Theft. There is no excusing how competent they think their boss is at doing their job!
  13. Surprised your not still using telegrams and sending the monetary value of your orders in stamps? You ca beat an sae & cheque it is called online payment and email which has a quicker turnaround time and Brian emails you the exact price the same day inc postage and packing. No errors are made in under or overcharging and refunds can easily be resolved in seconds. By the time your letter arrives my email has been send, read, replied to, order processed and paid for, sent then received by me the following day where as your cheque still has to go to the bank to be paid in, wait for days for clearing before order sending then another trip out to post office, which is time which could be spend producing more orders!
  14. Maybe he has gone on holiday for a couple of weeks before the school summer holidays start to avoid the busy period? I would be more concerned if it was 10 months not 10 days.
  15. Pickering Station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway still has a footbridge.
  16. So their next diesel if it is in O Gauge (the class 56) will that be in 2020? Class 37/4 - End 2018/Easter 2019 - Factor in delays etc Class 47 - 2019 ? As no details or CAD Class 50 - End 2019/2020 ? Class 56 - 2020/2021 ? It is possible it is part of their five year plan plus other items as yet unannounced due to it being too early. Why five years, why not as most companies have at least a five year plan which they aim towards but they don't always need to make it public.
  17. Well technically it doesn't say it will be a model so.... A) New Buildings post 1970 B) New Track C) New Catenary OO & O Gauge D) A model of Ben Jones in OO & O Gauge along with an official announcement and interview from BJ?
  18. O Gauge Beilhack Snowplough, O Gauge MEA's & MHA's or O Gauge Class 09?
  19. Well that figures... I ordered a drawing last month. No reply to emails so got my money back off PayPal.
  20. So any chance of a BD Review of the HJ Class 37/4 please or are you still detailing this up like the Class 50?
  21. I would hope so and I hope Heljan may prove me wrong as I would definitely buy a couple but at the moment this would be down my list of priorities along with searching for intelligent life in space (as per the Monty Python Universe Song), looking for the Loch Ness Monster and also solving the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle
  22. I have... Read mine... Your post sounds like idle gossip as there is no credible evidence. Your evidence is circumstantial. I prefer genuine proof from a credible source not platform or public house rumours! As for what companies allegedly said they would release in the past. I would take that with a heavy pinch of salt. Lot of things have been talked about but never happened!
  23. As you do not specify your source, which of the batch of class 56's, which Gauge (although Hornby have already done the OO Gauge model and Graham Farish I believe did the N gauge), there is not mention of what year/decade/century so at the moment until more details or an official announcement or even some pre-production photographs from a Model Show, then I will take it with a pinch of salt and just see it as another persons wishlist like the Class 58. At least the announcement on the next batch of Dapol O Gauge Class 08's on FB has a whole host of info including CAD images, and Dapol did mention in their Newsletter they were planning a new batch later on this year. HJ have not mentioned anything as yet on their next model/s.
  24. So does Northern as at least there was one based at Leeds unless of course that person still works for them and hasn't retired. Anyway, why wouldn't they have a Deltic driver on their books if they volunteered at York or Barrow Hill?
