]Pedant mode on]

Slight glitch there Paul, The Kirtley 2-4-0 ia 158A. 118 is (or was), of course, the Spinner.

[Pedant mode off]

Thank you for the correction,  It is indeed 158A

It should be on display with the vintage train.

With this and the Cadeby weekend at the GCR, I can see a weekend away being planned.

"L150  (GWR Prairie) in London Transport Livery"

Is it just there for the weekend or will it be there for longer?

L150 will be visiting for an extended stay which hopefully should see the loco at the MRB for a couple of months.

Will a full layout list be posted soon?

I will post a full list of layouts later this week.

There also is a change to full size loco rosters.  The class 31 will now not be in service on Saturday and will now be replaced by class 20 number 8001 running in BR Green with full yellow ends. (subject to the usual availability issues)

Omitted from the Traders list is that the HMRS Study Centre will be open (the layouts have been listed) but there is also an excellent bookshop with all HMRS books that are in print and a large 2nd hand stock.

We have just had confirmation that 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' will be in steam on service trains at the Midland Railex this coming weekend (13th / 14th) at the Midland Railway at Butterley.

The service trains will now feature steam and diesel locomotives on both trains made up with the following formations:-

20 189 (class 20 diesel) top and tail with 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' (both days)

LT150 (prairie tank steam) top and tail with 47 401 (class 47 diesel) Saturday and D182 (class 46 diesel) Sunday

Steam will also feature 0-4-0 saddle tank 'Whitehead' shunting around the Swanwick yard and the Golden Valley narrow gauge railway will also feature steam.

We are looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and hopefully plenty of new visitors and hope that all have a very enjoyable visit.

Great to hear that 6201 will be on service trains. That is a real bonus. Nice to see two months steam engines in use rather than the diesel dominated services of recent years. Looking forward the the weekend even more now!

It is with regret that due to technical issues 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' will now not be running at the Railex as previously released.

The service trains will still feature the Prairie tank LT150 and be set up as listed below:-

20 189 (class 20) top and tail with 47 401

LT150  (Prairie tank) top and tail with D182 (Class 46)

These formations will be the same for both days.

We apologise for the non appearance of 6201 and  hope you will all still have an enjoyable visit as the layouts, exhibits and traders are the main feature of the show.

Oh well never mind technical problems can't be helped. I assume 6201 will be on display to the public.
