Skinnylinny
"Oh Sam Gary, what a little beauty!" The lining really lifts the loco, and makes it look complete. It would be lovely to have a go at a focus-stacked image of loco and train on Oak Hill before "the end of days". Can't help thinking that the Health & Safety Executive would have kittens at that open-backed footplate though! No handrail or anything!
RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted November 1, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 1, 2020 Oh yes photos on Oak Hill are a must, but first I must add the final details to the carriages! (the glue on the windows is drying as I type) The lining really does add a whole new level to it, just a shame there is no evidence is was lined as such, but also no evidence it wasn't! and post rebuild it managed to get fully lined IEG despite being only a shunter, so I feel happy giving it Craven's best! As for the back, I can't see any evidence for a handrail there on the drawings I have, so left it off, but did wonder about it, still it's the 1860's who needs Heath and Safety! 5&9Models
That looks fabulous! Would you mind if I shared these pictures with the Brighton Circle FB page please? I’m sure members would be really interested to see it. Cheers Chris
RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted November 2, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 2, 2020 Hi Chris, Thanks for saying so, I hadn't even thought about sticking them on the Brighton Circle Facebook Group. I shall stick them up there as I am also a member. Cheers, Gary
