NoelG
Lightly weathered an MM mk2 ST livery coach for a friend. The prototype Supertrain livery never really floated my boat, but after a bit of weathering I'm beginning to change my mind. These after all, introduced in 1972 are closer in time to my favourite B&T era than the later more attractive tippex livery, and overlapped operations with B&T livery stock for much of the 1970s. The paint job on the MM Supertrain models was widely criticised when first released in back 2015, but the weathering has helped hide a few 'sins'. I now quite fancy a few for myself. Used a mix of airbrushing and weathering powders applied wet using paint brush and cotton buds (water+decalfix). The roof now looks less like an air marshals day-glo orange baseball bat.

Irish_R_M
Would you consider a wash from humbrol to pick out the details, especially around door openings?
NoelG
Would you consider a wash from humbrol to pick out the details, especially around door openings? Yes I would in future. Effectively on this one I tried a sort of home made wash consisting of water/decalfix solution with small amounts of weathering powders mixed in. The decalfix allows reactivation with water if needed to tweak or fix any boo-boos. This worked out with door openings on an EGV below and some other B&T coaches.
