I use yard office.

It is American, but has a lot of useful features.

It can be staggering when you have entered all you stock then it tells you how much you have and what you spent! (You add the purchase price)

Has a search feature.

There is a premium pay version.

No barcode scanning, but that might come with later upgrades.

If your stock is older or does not have a box then barcodes will not be available.

More fun is to use something like http://howsecureismypassword.net to check how secure passwords are.

Fun yes, a real security tool, no way!

Put in HorseStapleBanana and it says it will take 2 Quadrillion years to crack. That is the complete and absolute rubbish. A good cracking rig using multiple GPUs can churn through billions of hashes a second*. The site uses the very outdated notion that the number of permutations they'd have to try is 52^17 before brute forcing the password. They won't even bother with that. They would start with a dictionary attack first followed by combination attacks that string words together. That could probably be cracked in a few hours or less.

* weak encryption types. still used on many websites.
