PenrithBeacon
I'm getting the impression from this that there is little or no on-site parking. Are there any parking restrictions in nearby streets? Edited October 6, 2021 by PenrithBeacon
wainwright1
You are right about the parking. There is some space for exhibitors and a couple of disabled bays. There are no on street restrictions, but it is best to get there fairly early to be able to park fairly near to the venue. All the best Ray
Invicta Informant
Visited this nice little local show this morning. Thank you to the Beckenham & West Wickham MRC for putting on this show. It was just pleasant to meet some old acquaintances I have not seen in 21 months.
jbe
I had a thoroughly pleasant day out with my 0-16.5 layout, St. Mary's, at Beckenham on Saturday. It is a well run show for both exhibitors and traders and had the biggest club second hand stand I have ever seen. It is held in a church which was definitely well ventilated so I was glad of four layers of clothing! Lots of people to talk to, from experienced modellers, to people just starting out in the hobby, to families of grandparents, parents and children - all really enjoyable. Thanks to all those who worked hard to put on a successful day. Julian
Stephenwolsten
I am interested in collating information from recent shows about attendance, compared with pre-Covid years. The aim would be to help inform other clubs about what to expect or plan for when reaching decisions. Can you quantify anything from the Beckenham Show please e.g. the percentage change in attendance compared with the last equivalent show? Thanks in anticipation.
