Thos
Nice, but they seem very bright - more like headlamps. I think you need a stronger resistor.
oldknotty
I wanted them bright I am an old guy with poor eye sight lol
Matador
They look fine to me, if you went any less bright then what would be the point in having them. David A Brit in the USA

AMJ
Some chips can also amend the brightness of the outputs and or lighting effects. There might even be a firebox flicker which might make them look less like LEDS.
oldknotty
They are LEDS mate why would they look like something else ??? :-)
Brian
Hi IMO I have to agree with Thos, they are indeed far to bright and do look more like Headlights rather than dim oil lamps! Increasing the resistor OHM value considerably will reduce they brightness. Or as suggested some decoders can have the function output voltage reduced. But that depends on what decoder is installed. Tangoman69
I recently added one to my Scots Guardsman, but I want it as a headlight, so the brighter the better! I must admit they are easy to fit and do look brilliant.
