But no, it IS a GP40-2, it seems there was a small series of them with said angled blower ducts - that would be an interesting variation to model. Cheers, John. The train is bound for Downtown Los Angeles during the morning rush hour period. In the left side of the picture, the traffic is starting to get heavy on the Riverside Freeway(California State Route 91; "The 91"). The traffic is driving on the Needles Freeway(Interstate 40 or I-40) in the background. Before Interstate 40 was built, the main highway motorists took through Ludlow was U.S. Route 66("The Mother Road"). The train is crossing the Benicia-Martinez Bridge over the Carquinez Strait. The Benicia-Martinez Bridge is a series of bridges that crosses the Carquinez Strait between the cities of Benicia and Martinez. The northbound and southbound lanes of the Interstate 680(I-680) freeway is part of this bridge group. The Benicia-Martinez railroad bridge is the second-longest bridge in North America and the longest bridge west of the Mississippi River.
