Converting A Bachmann On30 Forney into a 2-4-0 tender loco

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have a Bachmann Forney that I would like to convert into a tender loco.

I have a spare tender from the 2-6-0.

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the Backwoods instructions on how to cut the rear end off without removing anything vital/terminal?

Seems a bit drastic.  Might be worth selling the Forney and getting something to make the tender loco (I believe the Forneys got for a good price)

They are around $100, New dcc equipped over here.

Dirt cheap here in the colonies (Either from the US or on the local version of E-bay)

I have 3, and 2 are earmarked for local trains, leaving the 3rd for something with a bit more range.

( I also can't see the point of making more work for myself. this is a sideline project rather than my main interest, I just want to have a break)

I'm planning on doing a similar conversion, although using the 2-6-6-2 tender.
