Kev_Lewis
Morning Kev, The whole of the fiddle yard has been built for a while now but as to the " scenic " part of the layout, I would say about a third. I have decided to concentrate on building the rest of the baseboards now, so at least I can watch the trains go round. Although I will be building a loco over the winter months, I have had the kit a while now, and picked up the motor/g/ box and wheels at Telford, so I have no excuses now. ATB, Martyn. Ah, you've got more done than I realised. With your woodworking skills you'll have the remaining baseboards up in no time. Is that the Collett goods you'll be building? 3 link
Hi Kev, Yes it's the 2251 from JLTRT , and I have no excuses not to get cracking this winter. ATB, Martyn.
Kev_Lewis
I will keep an eye out for that build then. I quite fancy one of those in the future.

I've got one of those kits to build as well, and after my 8750, it was looking favourite Jinty
3 link
I will keep an eye out for that build then. I quite fancy one of those in the future.Yes they are one of my favourite locos, they look so well balanced. As for a build thread, hmmm probably not as I'm going to copy Ozzy's thread with maybe a couple of alterations along the way. ; ) ATB, Martyn.
Kev_Lewis
As for a build thread, hmmm probably not as I'm going to copy Ozzy's thread with maybe a couple of alterations along the way. ; ) Fair enough. When I get around to building one I'll know who to ask when I get stuck! Not sure when that will be as I currently have a 14XX awaiting detailing and a chassis, a 58XX with only the chassis built, and a 94XX pannier to build. The announcement, and my reservation, of the Lionheart B Set has brought loco building to the head of the queue!
TheGhostofNigelGresley
Hi Martyn, Good to see you managed to get some momentum going again, trying myself after two years sat in a darkened room with a bucket on my head. Layout looks like it will be as good as your stock, but bejesus there are some technical posts on your thread, no ? Made my face melt, some of 'em......

Hi Kev, Lionheart B set !, Lionheart B set ! you are the second person who has said that statement, I had a look at the website but I did not see any mention of this. I have built the JLTRT B set but I would definitely have a Lionheart version as well. Hi Chris, Great to hear from you it's been a while, and thanks for the encouragement as sometimes I feel I have bitten off more than I can chew, but I am enjoying the journey. I do enjoy building the trackwork and I think that being in 7mm you have to include as much detail as you can if possible, so thank goodness for 3D printing... Now if you are still lacking in the mojo department, I find the best tonic is a visit to a good exhibition although the next good one in my opinion is the Bristol show. Talk soon, Martyn. 3 link
Tempting aren't they... Bl**dy right they are, I will be on the phone tomorrow to stake my claim. So now do I keep my JLTRT B set and end up having two sets, or flea bay them to pay for the Lionheart ones, decisions, decisions . Martyn.
Kev_Lewis
You'd better post a photo multiple photos of your JLTRT B Set so that we can offer a fully informed opinion.

3 link
Hi Guys, Well funnily enough I have just dug up some old photos of the build, although I am fairly sure I did not do a build thread or did I ? Doh senior moment again. Heres a few but I do not think I have any of the completed set as I cannot see the 1st and 2nd class or the no smoking transfers they now have. A bit photo intensive, but you did ask . ATB, Martyn. PS. In the last photo you can just make out a poster above the seats on the right hand coach. steve fay
£399 the pair, I'm going to get my name down
Kev_Lewis
Those are very nice Martyn. If it were me I'd be keeping them after putting in all that work. Perhaps you should put your name down for a Lionheart four coach set to go with them?
3 link
£399 the pair, I'm going to get my name down Hi Steve, I usually would not bother with RTR but Lionheart stock are a cut above the rest In my opinion. Those are very nice Martyn. If it were me I'd be keeping them after putting in all that work. Perhaps you should put your name down for a Lionheart four coach set to go with them? Hi Kev, I can just about fit a 4 coach train along the platforms so maybe, I will have to have a chat with the boss. ATB, Martyn.
steve fay
Just in case you haven't seen this as its not on there web page. Yes I agree about the quality of there stock. The new tank wagons look stunning also. I might add 1 kit built coach to make it a 3 car train behind one of heljans large prairies, perfect for a suburban running past RB.
railwayrod
Your current B set look superb. Do you really need the Lionheart ones as well? Rod
3 link
Your current B set look superb. Do you really need the Lionheart ones as well? Rod Hi Rod, Thank you for your kind words , regarding having another B set I just think it would look nice to see the sets pass each other in the station loop. Also being RTR it's a quick fix as the job I have at present is quite demanding so what little time I do get off is very precious. Jintyman
£399 for a pair, it's a no brainer really, JLTRT are £235 for one kit!!! Will reserve my pair in the morning. Jinty

Steve, You may have missed it on the leaflet, but Richard plans to produce (at a later date) a diagram C61 all third so that three and five car sets can be made up.
