Wayne 37901
Looking good Paul. I like the idea of idea for the barriers, I need some of these for Dragon Steels so that's another I might steal from you. :-) Dragon Steels is now operational, I've been testing the fiddle yard today. Cheers
MattWallace
Called at the thornbury show today, other than a cement terminal in OO there was a noticeable absence of modern image industrial layouts, hopefully this may fill a void ( if there is one.) I think there's a massive void! I went up to the Abergavenny Train and Toy fair today and was very disappointed. Even on the "second hand" stalls it was pretty much entirely Steam or Blue Diesel for locos and the rolling stock was even older! Of the three layouts there, only one was actually running (a very good steam-based model of Abergavenny Brecon Street) and the other two were a small steam layout and a 15' viaduct with a 158 looking like it would be on a shuttle as opposed to any kind of "driver controlled" operation. I can't remember the last time I saw a present-day layout of any kind, it's as if most exhibition modellers decided that the place to stop was somewhere around 1995 because nothing since then was worth modelling. Admittedly there are a few excellent exceptions to the above, however they rarely seem to be on display near me. One of the reasons for building my oil terminal is that I hope at some point someone might think it good enough to display and I can start adding big smelly multi-coloured (Colas/GBRf/Freightliner) diesels to what seems to be a sea of BR Blue, BR Green or EWS Maroon! Anyway, enough ranting, the pallets look brilliant as does the rest of the layout, Matt
naturol
Please excuse the deviation for five minutes, but these are in response to an email request for info on a previous layout. And it's quicker to post here than email the pictures. Apologies.

And it's quicker to post here than email the pictures. Apologies. My local station, but I still get flashbacks after operating the layout over two days at a Cardiff Show some years back ! . PS I've got the inspiration for your next layout, again modern and industrial. All you have to do is ask me nicely .........................
naturol
.All you have to do is ask me nicely ......................... naturol
Bought two Roco pressurised gas tanks at the Derby show last weekend, they are the dogs. Trouble is they put the other stock to shame. Knackered my NCE powercab, need to buy a replacement, but Coastal DCC came to the resue and loaned me theirs for the show. Big up thanks to Kevin, what a knowledgable chap, and a brilliant service. Action now afoot to find a new owner for Ranelagh bridge.
Satan's Goldfish
I did wonder how well Roco HO tanks would scale to OO, that would suggest very well and the do both look like types from my Ferry Wagon book. Nice purchase!

br2975
Here you are brother - a non-contentious photograph, of a train conveying containers to a location I cannot identify, for a company I cannot name.
naturol
Trying not to bore your glass eye to sleep again....... But. I guess you will have noticed the change in thread name, and my changed Avatar image, together with a few removed images from the thread, I will be refraining from refering to the plant by its Corperate name to boot. So, I need a new name for the layout, any ideas?

Satan's Goldfish
What's the name of their closest competitor? Tell them what's happened and that it's on a public forum and they'd probably be more than happy for (the publicity) you to name your layout after them.
