  1. Branding only. Not the full bling.
  2. That's a longer gap than some of the jokes on here.....
  3. Truth or myth? Several pilots are on with ATC, each asking for a higher altitude as they try to out-do each other. Then an SR-71 comes on, requesting FL600. The controller says "If you can reach it, you can have it". The pilot responds "... descending FL600".
  4. He had them custom made in Germany. The crests were from the Railtec Northern Belle set. Fox lining.
  5. ISTR that 90763 was trialed on the Shotton iron ore trains whilst allocated to Bidston.
  6. Alas, for me at least, that wasn't the wording in the reply I got. Unfortunately, I cannot foresee us doing more development in order to facilitate other non-Hornby DCC controllers.
  7. George has replied. Not a good answer as he cannot foresee any further development to work with non-Hornby systems. The recommendation was to buy a Select or Elite to allow full use of the dongles..... Anyone want to buy a HM7000 dongle?
  8. Thanks Rob, I will contact George. A&H Models are listing the v3.6 upgrade on their website. https://www.aandhmodels.co.uk/lenz-set100-software-version-36-1883-c.asp
  9. Hi Rob, Apologies for the delay in replying. Work/life/exhibitions got in the way. I've updated everything as far as I can - dongle, etc. The Lenz LZV is running v3.6 (the latest version),. I still can't get other decoders to work with the HM7000/dongle on long addresses. I tried the CV update and I got an error "Compatibility notice This feature is only compatible with HM7000 decoders", so doesn't appear to be available with the dongle. If you could escalate the issue, that would be most appreciated. It would appear to be at least partly sorted as @Tony Walker reported that long addresses work with a LZV200 base unit. My plan is to replace the ageing LH100 handsets on mine and the club layouts, so if it can be sorted, then I'm up for buying three more dongles for my own layout and probably another four for the club layout. TIA
  10. Wasn't the original release of the "new as in not ex-Lima" Hornby 67 something like "English, Welsh & Scottish Railwa" on the cabside?
  11. Looks like there's 12 Rfnoos wagons up for conversion as translator wagons for the new Siemens underground stock in the pipeline.
  12. Northern are running crew training trips (for Blackburn based staff) for the upcoming reintroduction of a Dalesrail service - Rochdale-Ribblehead, It will now be called the Yorkshire Dales Explorer On the second day of training , 150106 forms 5T01 Blackburn-Blea Moor. The normal fare for the S&C these days is 158s and in the past, 156, 150/2 and 142/144 have been used, but 150/1's are very rare beasts north of Settle Junction. It was 150102 yesterday and I can only find one other pic of a 150/1 at Nottingham on a Sunday Carlisle service., but no guarantee it made it's way fully north Unless anyone knows different?
  13. Nice pics of the SF trip. Bringing back lots of memories of my 4 days there two years ago. I couldn't escape much from the rest of the group apart from a San Jose return on Caltrain and a couple of hours on the MUNI. Looks like the ex-Amtrak AEM7 hasn't moved since I saw it in May 2022.
  14. 94225 is the stores GUV - it usually carries all the consumables for a summer season - toilet rolls/soap etc,
  15. LSL are putting together another shorter HST/Pullman set for WHL duties later this year.
