Beatty 139
I have always been meaning to build an Acrylic clock on my laser, cut some of the wheels and bits but other projects have always been above it on the to do list! BrushType4
I've received feedback that I'd also missed the H beam detail on the wheel, so not to disappoint...
BrushType4
Ive been asked to build some building kits bespoke and one of them is Brightlingsea Engine Shed Office. Ready on the CAD to lasercut tomorrow.
BrushType4
Window detail in the test build. The window sill should be a tight fit so a small adjustment is needed to tighten up the fit. The door has been designed so that the customer can model open if desired. BrushType4
GER style railway gates I need to work out the hinge arrangement but I'm looking forward to seeing these built up. I might up a small diorama of a crossing.
BrushType4
And lastly this evening I've got another commision on the workbench. I'm not entirely sure what this is except it's for coaches of a southern hemisphere nature....
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted December 31, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 31, 2014 Not a criticism, excellent work, but those coach sides show the limitations of "etching" with the laser cutter, ie, the overburn on the end of the line. Mike. Those are shadows and more a smoke mark than actual cuts. Once painted you'll not see them. The laser is quite sharp even under the cruel maginification of the cameras eye. The rule is a 7mm scale rule to give some idea of the size of the problem. The laser can also be adjusted on the corner power if the material burns through. BrushType4
Next off the workbench is a LMS style bridge loosely based on Ripple. CAD work is nearly complete, just some tweaking required for it all to fit together. Hopefully get some build pictures at the weekend.
BrushType4
Chimney stack for a building I am working on. I'm pleased with how it looks with the chimney pots on. The prototype Edited February 15, 2015 by BrushType4
BrushType4
Something I've been thinking about is modelling used sleepers so I drew some up today and zipped through the laser. I need to adjust the bolt hole size which is easy.
Barnaby
Wow how have I missed these posts some fantastic pieces you made Brush. Added this to my ever increasing list of ones to follow. I like the modular warehouse so I'll go see if I can find any details on it.
BrushType4
On my workbench today. Will be laser cutting this out this afternoon. A customer provided drawing and mock up for LNER style Bothy. Windows done first.
BrushType4
An update on the sleepers as have quicky painted a few black. Could easily make these into fences or coal staithes that are made from second hand sleepers. Edited February 25, 2015 by BrushType4
RMweb Gold SHMD Posted February 25, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 25, 2015 Hi, wonderful work here. Am I right in assuming the sleepers are 7mm scale? If so, have you tried making the same sleepers in 4mm? Kev.

Peco code75 personally but I suppose any 00 or HO gauge would do just to see the results. Kev.

Ideal for EM and P4 but will need to be adjusted for H0/00 scale track gauge.
