Coder Tim
Hi, I'm about to attempt building a turnout in n. I've built one of the C&L turnout in a bag kits with no problem and I don't have a problem with the fiddlyness of n so I think I'll be ok with it. The problem I'm having is finding track gauges. I have a pair of the three point Micro Engineering ones as these were all that I could find through google. If I use them I will get gauge widening on the curved road, will this is likely to cause a problem? I don't know enough about the subject to know either way. I also obviously can't use them for setting the check rails. Are there any proper roller gauges and check gauges available for n? I know there were a few threads on this in the past but they all seem to be five years or so out of date. Best wishes, Tim

MikeTrice
If you are referring to the NMRA gauge then fine, but just be warned it is finer that European N Gauge, although more modern wheelsets should be OK. The Tillig gauge is similar but for NEM standards.
