47606odin
I purchased a slaters built SE&CR 6 wheel goods brake off a well known auction site, but the builder of the wagon has made a complete abortion of the underside. is there anyone on here who has one made properly, that can send me some good quality photos of how all the brake parts are supposed to be. i can rectify springs and axle box issues and hopefully get it sitting flat, but how the brake rigging is supposed to go together-not a clue any help appreciated
MarcD
There is an SECR goods rolling stock book which all the info in the brake van. I think its Southern Railway Wagons Vol 3. I think that they were a development of the Midland 20ton 6 wheel brake. Having built a number of Slater's MR brakes which were straight forward not sure how you balls one up, but I suppose it its possible. If I have any photos of the MR version I will post them.
