Engines for 2015 to be confirmed.. These engines will be joined by L150 and our long term resident Austerity WPR No. 15, to make a four-strong fleet of steam engines for the Gala. We are looking to put together a bus shuttle between Keynsham national rail station and Bitton Station – perhaps with the odd Routemaster (more details soon). Follow the event on Twitter #AVRGala @AVRBitton or by following us on Facebook. Timetable An intensive timetable of passenger and demonstration freight trains will be operating on both the Saturday and Sunday. A copy of the passenger timetable will be shown below nearer the time and available free to ticket holders during the weekend. A Working Timetable which also shows light engine and freight moves will be available to purchase for a small cost nearer the time. Fares Our Day Rover tickets offer unlimited travel on all passenger services on the day of purchase: Adults £15 Concessions (Over 60s, Students) £13 Children (aged 5 to 14 years) £8 Children (under 5 years) FREE Family (2 adults and 2 children) £38 This special event is marked as Timetable C in our leaflet and therefore special fares and ticket restrictions apply. Purchasing tickets Beat the queues on the day and buy your ticket in advance by any of the following means: Buy online [coming soon] (a £1.50 booking fee applies to each transaction) Call the Booking Office on 0117 932 5538 Visit the station in person, weekdays between 9am and 4.30pm Tickets can also be purchased on the day from the Booking Office (cash or card) and on board the train (cash only). Please leave plenty of time to purchase tickets as they may be a queue during busy periods. Getting to Bitton Visitor parking is available at Bitton Station with overflow parking available nearby (as directed by staff on the day). Disabled visitors should contact Bitton Station in advance of the event to reserve a parking space close by to the station building. We expect this event to be extremely busy and we encourage our visitors to travel sustainably – consider car sharing or travelling by public transport. We are hoping to offer a shuttle service between Keynsham national rail station and Bitton station, more details will follow shortly. For more information on how to find us can be found here. Please do not park on the A431 Bath Road or on any local residential roads – this causes a nuisance to passing traffic and our neighbours and may jeopardise any future events. About the rolling stock Our second edition Rolling Stock Guide is available to purchase. If you want to learn more about the vehicles that will be in use and displayed at Bitton during this year's End of Season Gala, the Stock Book will give you all the information you need and is available from the Station gift shop. Photography We love to see photographers enjoying our line and keeping the internet stocked up with excellent snaps of our events. However, please remember that these events are costly to stage and are reliant on support from members and visitors. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated - if you can't travel, perhaps consider buying a platform ticket or a slice of cake and a cuppa Exhibitors/trader stands This year we are welcoming traders and locomotive groups with their stands to our gala. There is limited space available so if you are interested in attending do please contact one of our events team members George Aldridge by emailing info@avonvalleyrailway.org
