jonas
Hi there,As part of my work as a Librarian in Herefordshire a project I've been lucky enough to be involved in is the setting up of a digital archive for our photograph collection at www.herefordshirehistory.org.uk. I've posted some photographs here before, but wanted to share the following film that has been uncovered apparently showing some of the last workings on the Golden Valley Railway in the early 1950s. It's a wonderful bit of archive footage!I can't embed the Vimeo file directly, but the link is www.herefordshirehistory.org.uk/film for those who are interested - cheers! RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted October 12, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 12, 2015 Absolutely top stuff, many thanks indeed for that link. I liked the chap in civvies giving handsignals to the driver when the second train arrived! The last train of all was presumably the 'brake van special?' RMweb Premium Andy Kirkham Posted October 13, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 13, 2015 A lovely bit of film. Can anyone identify the coach with the (to me) unusual vents above the windows that is seen at 2:50?
