meatloaf Posted October 27, 2015 Share Posted October 27, 2015 I had both a Bachmann 08 in black DCC fitted with an 8 pin chip and also Hornby 08 in green with factory fitted sound. Is it possible to fit the Hornby sound chip into the Bachmann loco? I know id need an adaptor as the Hornby sound chip is a 21 pin chip whereas the Bachmann one has an 8 pin socket. SRman Posted October 27, 2015 Share Posted October 27, 2015 As long as you can find the space for the decoder, adapter and speaker(s), there is no reason why it should not work.
