Isambard Kingdom Brunel Posted October 29, 2015 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Photos of Newent Station. I cant actually remember seeing any trains running here when I lived near here in the 60's. However I can remember being a member of Newent Army Cadets aged about 13-14 and patrolling the disused line, I was carrying the bren Gun with another lad as my loader, whilst others patrolled with .303 rifles or an SMG I can also remember walking through Newent Town Centre late evening carrying said Bren Gun.
