Devonbelle
Hi, I've attached a few snaps taken. This past week on a family stay in Lyon/Chambery. I chased BB67000s - as their work continues to deminish. Chambery is due to have 4 local 67 diagrams but on Tue and We'd this past week, only 3 circuits were loco hauled. The 4 circuit was covered with an EMU. Lyon is due to loose its last regular BB67 working with Dec TT change when the Tours/Nevers - Lyon service goes over to DMU. So message is get there quick to enjoy historic locos doing what they've done for the last 50 years. Last Sunday night - 67593 at Lyon Part Dieu on 2016 SuO arrival ex Tours. 49 year old veteran at Grenoble on Wednesday morning having come in on 0916 arrival ex St Marcellin. 67593 again on Fridays (30-10) 1533 Lyon PD to Tours, on load 9 Corail rake. Our train home 30-10 - with Eurostar set 3201 on 1725 Lyon Part Dieu to London St Pancras. Great to have a direct train - but need to all alight at Lille for customs formalities. Regards Paul I believe the trains are due to go over to bi-mode units, so they can use the wires over the electrified sections of the route.
Fat Controller
I believe the trains are due to go over to bi-mode units, so they can use the wires over the electrified sections of the route.Bi-mode sets already work to Roanne/ Nevers; they'll need to be bi-courant/bi-mode for services to Tours, as the Saincaize- Vierzon- Tours electrification has been done at 25kV, I believe. Sad to see the 67xxx going, as for many years, they used to work past 'our' village in the Beaujolais. The most spectacular working, coinciding with lunchtime aperitifs, was the Fos- Digoin coils, with two 67xxx on the front, and a 72000 on the back.
