Simon G
I recently bought on Ebay a batch of mostly Lima and Hornby motors, but one of them I do not recognise. I am thinking that it might be a Mainline motor of some sort, but don't actually know. If anyone can help identify it, that would be most helpful. Pictures of said motor: Thanks in advance! RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted November 2, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 2, 2015 I think it may be as you say a mainline motor as used in the J72 Don't have J72 to hand so unable to check it out Terry
DCB
It does not look like any Dapol, Hornby, Lima, Mainline or Airfix motor I have ever seen. There are usually screw holes all the way through, two or four. Presumably the brushes work at 90 degrees to the armature instead of in line like Dapol, Hornby, Lima, Mainline and Airfix . The lack of a ring magnet is also very unusual. Do you have the other half? I would suggest something H0.
sandwich station
Here are a couple of pics of a new spare Mainline armature. As you can see, it's a bit different to yours.
