DaisyDots
Have finally received my silhouette. Bought in the UK, but arrived with a USA two pin plug. Advice on whether it's safe to use a UK transformer and which should I get? Thanks in advance. Regards, Daisy.
RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted February 7, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 7, 2016 I would contact the supplier to get written confirmation of exactly what you can power it with. Graphtec are the UK distributor for Silhouette products, maybe give them a call or an email. Cheers

RMweb Gold Wellyboots Posted February 7, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 7, 2016 Daisy, When you say US two pin plug, does it have flat pins? Or is it a round pin plug? This site may be useful in identifying which one it is; http://www.worldstandards.eu/electricity/plugs-and-sockets/ Whichever plug it is the best way to know if it's safe to use is to check the transformers/PSU label, many theses days can handle 100v to 240v! If the PSU has a plug-in mains lead you might just need to buy one with a three pin plug. But check the label first, you may need bright light and a magnifying glass to read the small print.
