Andy Y
No problem - I've been chucking examples of various punctuation and characters at them all day. I'm sure they've found it a useful learning experience.
DonB
Andy, your reply indicates that "They" have not met this before on their latest update, (or was RMweb their guinea pig?) and don't run a Beta check before going live. To me, as a complete ignoramus of computer programming, it doesn't seem very professional.
Geoff Endacott
I don't seem to have a problem with trunc
RMweb Gold Vistisen Posted February 27, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 27, 2016 Don, IMO that's unfairly harsh on the Invision folk. Remember, they're in the US where non-English UTF-8-coded languages are discarded as "not-American"* So, one can safely assume they've only tested with English American sample texts, which hardly use these special characters. But I'm sure next time they'll include UTF-8 in their test-suite *basically, they're a product of their environment, so can you blame'm? Working in IT as I do in Denmark where we hare extra vowels æøå, yiou be amazed at how even major software providers seem to think that anything that is not used in American English, is unnecessary.
