RMweb Gold tomparryharry Posted March 19, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 19, 2016 Hi Team, I've just bought an 03 (31-364) which is quite a nice little model. However... Illuminated cab lights. Not sure about that at all. Is it much of a job to nick the light bulb? All answers, as usual, gratefully received. Ian.

I'll be taking it out myself, not had it open yet but will do when fitting the chip. I guess it can be switched off with DCC though
Matabiau
It may be easier to modify the DCC blanking plug by removing the two pins that drive the lights. I believe they are pins 5 and 6 although you should check first as I am no expert on the 6-pin decoder!

stewartingram
As with all lighting units (far too bright and gimmicky) I have removed mine. Very simple to do, but unfortuanately I've forgotten the details! I think it is just a body removeal. Stewart
