RMweb Premium Richard E Posted March 20, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 20, 2016 Thanks for putting this up - the bus shots in Bristol bring back some memories. Funnily enough the no22 mentioned was my bus to get home from school! IIRC (and it was a long, long time ago) it used to run from Filton to Hartcliffe. It certainly ran past the old Imperial Tobacco factories in Bedminster, I can still, in my mind, smell the tobacco on the clothes of the workers as they boarded the bus. Jim Martin
I'm pretty sure that the bus for "READING, Marlow, Henley, Wargrave" at 0:50 is driving down the high street in High Wycombe. Jim

Jim Thames Valley service No. 28, definitely in High Wycombe although by the mid '50s I can only remember it being worked by double deckers. Nowadays it is Arriva route No. 800 but basically little different from the Thames Valley 28 although details of the route have changed considerably in some places.
