Chrom
I have recently fitted 4 more Cobalt point motors. This time I have added the 90 degree extensions as wanted to limit the size below the board. They fit fine and seem to do as I wanted, but I can't program them as the switch is stopping me. The clearance is just 5mm to get my finger in! Also they are impossible to get at Has anyone resolved this problem please?
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted June 11, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 11, 2016 Once the holes are drilled just drop them out again, program them and by using the holes they'll line up exactly again.
Chrom
Thanks for that reply, I am also thinking of turning the switch to the other side of the PCB as well. I don't need to remove them each time I re-program them in the future.
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted June 11, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 11, 2016 You could also try making a tool from wire to work the switch. Just twist a loop into a piece of brass wire so you can hook it over to move the switch?
Chrom
You suggestion is a valid one and works, thank you. I finally used a 150mm long square 3mm brass tube which gives enough leverage to slide the switch without removing the motor. t takes a fiddle around to get in place, but it works fine.
