CNW SW1`s withdrawal dates?

HI guy`s,

 

Can anyone tell me the dates that the Chicago & North Western withdrew/sold off their SW1 loco`s please,as i`d like to paint my SW1 for either the CNW or Rock Island around 1980.(i`d prefer the CNW if it fit`s) 

 

In particular their phase III unit`s,like this one;

Or better still the withdrawal date for this unit (#1274) as it`s still  in it`s original livery!

I`ve had a look around the web and can assume that it was about 1980ish for the SW1`s,but that`s going on photo`s i`ve come across.

 

I have little knowlage on the CNW,so any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the "Rock Island" went down the drain in 1980. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It looks like there were 4 which lasted to 79 and another 12 withdrawn in 78.

CNW #1274 withdrawn in 78',but the Rock`s SW1`s lasted till shutdown in 1980,humm decision`s....?

 

I have to say ,i do like the livery of #1274 though!.
