Poor Old Bruce
Hi Folks, Due to a road closure I have recently been forced to use the A52 through Machworth village (Ashbourne side of Derby). Where there used to be an old Midland Railway clerestorey coach opposite the Mackworth Hotel, there are now two new houses. Does anyone know what the fate of the coach was? Thanks Richard
balders
A search of the excellent Vintage Carriage Trust website search engine may well reveal the answer to that one. Regards Guy
RMweb Premium gc4946 Posted June 16, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 16, 2016 The body's now preserved at the Midland Railway Centre. It's a MR picnic saloon, no. 349, built 1907. Vintage Carriages Trust has an entry for this carriage http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=4537
