scottishlocos
All I have been researching the Auchmuty branch as I am building a layout based on a papermill I have most of the traffic and information but I have recently got more questions than answers. Firstly there was another paper factory or processing plant halfway down the line I have seen it refered as Fife Paper or Dixons as far as I can tell this plant received a cargowaggon/ferryvan of pulp does anybody have more information on this works what it did and how the sidings were laid out? Secondly I have also heard recently that larger locomotives other than 08 and 06 went down the branch obviously only as far as the infamous narrow bridge or to the sidings mentioned above as they were before this bridge. On this subject I have also heard the last train down the branch was a weed killer train with the class 20's which operated this train at that time can anybody confirm this? Many Thanks Dave
