faa77
I am aware class 37 Teeside Steelmaster (37501) had British steel blue livery, but I was wondering if there were any other class 37s or 47s/56s which had it too? Googling just seems to show a lot of class 60s.
RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted July 23, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 23, 2016 Hi Faa, 37501 had a version of the livery, with large BR logo and (for some of the time) a lower edge dark blue stripe. Cheers Ben A.

jonny777
I can't think of, or remember, any 47s or 56s which had the light blue livery, but I might be wrong.
jackjack
I believe only one class 37 (37501) was the only member of the class in British steel light blue with a dark blue lower strip. Later two class 60's (60006) and (60033) also appeared in British steel light blue.
eric709
56009 was painted the same colour as 60006 / 60033 at Loughborough but it was there as a test bed loco and heavily stripped and never appeared outside the works in that guise

Cheers Ben A. One side the lower tumblehome stripe was water pipe blue and the other side rail blue. This was because the water pipe blue ran out , but the rail blue was never changed
