faa77
Bought a brand new Hornby R2646X which is DCC fitted. I tried it on my DC track, fan works fine but the lights at neither end are working. Is this to do with the fact its DCC fitted and my track is DC? Unsure whether to return to Hornby.
BritishRail60062
Hi there. It sounds like its a loose connection where the metal brass strips are not touching the contact strips properly. If the model was used and out of warrenty. I would have suggested taking the bodyshell off and check the position of the contacts. BUT as it is a brand new model. I would strongly recommend returning it to the seller/dealer for a repair/swap as it is still under warranty. Having looked up the reference number. I am assuming this locomotive is a Class 56 that is numbered as 56049 released in 2007?
Shoey
If you are only running DC, I would swap the decoder for a blanking chip and try that.
BritishRail60062
I am assuming that the Class 56 is still under warranty? Wouldn't doing that void the warranty in this case?
