peach james Posted January 18, 2017 Share Posted January 18, 2017 He's thinking of me ! It's only ~2 hrs by fast cat from Victoria-Seattle, or about 8 hrs by (2) car ferries. When I first moved here, there was a private car ferry still direct Victoria-Seattle, but that went quite some time ago. It floated away after I had been dating my wife though...because they loaded from near where the horse drawn wagons overnighted. (not the horses, just the wagons !). MV Princess Marguerite III, was the boat providing the service. I'll add- the drive along the US side of the Straits of Juan de Fuca is a really nice drive, if you go to Seattle via Port Angeles, or even nicer if you go around further and go down to Olympia.
